A Nod to The City’s Maritime Past

The Fulton is Chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten's first seafood restaurant – located in an area of the city he fell in love with when he first encountered the energy of the former Fulton Fish Market in 1986.

Nautical Motifs, Reimagined

A lover of art and design, Vongerichten was intimately involved in the curation of The Fulton’s interior and developed the concept in tandem with New York and Toronto-based design firm Yabu Pushelberg. The dream-like mural which envelopes the dining room—entitled South of Cape Horn—was hand-painted by artists Diego Castaño and Chandler Noah of the En Viu collective: Inspired by Jules Verne, the work pays homage to maritime culture and the mysteries of the deep.
